We just adopted 2 ornate box turtles about 6 months old and they arent eating. We have tried mill worms, turkey, chicken baby food and ground beef. Any suggestions and should I be worried? |

welcome to the board
new turtles usually don't eat for the first couple of weeks or so cz they feel unsafe so this is normal. try smelly foods with it. ornates are carnivorous so try live food with it hoping to get it's attention like crickets, beetles. btw, meal worms are not recommended cz they're high in fats.
anyways check this link it has some good info about ornate box turtles http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/cs-ornateboxie.htm
good luck _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
