i also adopted 2 baby res, a couple of weeks ago. it sounds like you're off to a great start. the most important thing that i found out was that its really important to be able to maintain a warm temperature for babies, particularly in the winter. i have a heat lamp i run 24-7, and a basking light i run from the time i wake-up until the time i go to bed. its good you have a wet and dry area in the tank - im sure you'll find lots of helpful info here. nice to meet you! |

welcome to the board
do u have the needed heaters and lights? u can increase the water level a bit if it doesn't cover them bcz they should be able to swim and flip themselves if they fall on their backs. _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

I don't have heating lamp yet only light i have is the normal that comes in a fish aquarium. I go into the pet stores and I am so overwhelmed. In Georgia is it illegal to sell turtles. So I go to Florida but everyone in the pet stores are idiots you can tell they are just pulling an naswer out of the air. I don't want my turtles to freeze any suggestions in products are if I have to get everything listed in the book to keep them warm? |
