| how do i know that the turtle which i have i a male or a female? one has a long tail kind of a thing behind an dthe other does not have it .From the place wher i bought them they said that u distinguish them on the basis of the ring on their roof top if there is a red ring then it is a male . So basically i am confused please help me out with this .How do i distinguish between male and female? |

females have a more flat shell, males have a more peaked shell, hope this helps
