| I have had a Red Eared Slider for about 2 years now. I "adopted" him at 3 inches for observation only. He is still the same size. Other turtle people told me to move him immediatly because he would grow too fast for the 10g he is in but he hasn't grown. Is this normal? He is a healthy turtle. He eats alot, and is extremely active. I am sure he is RES because he has orangish cheeks. The other RES in the tank with him has grown and is now about 6inches. ((Saw him at the LFS the other day)) |

do u have all lights needed in a setup? some turtles have a very slow growth rate. he might be growing but u're not noticing it. i've had one of my turtles for a year now and i didn't notice him growing but others are saying he did a bit. read this about growth http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/medinjuries.htm#not%20growing _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
