i have 2 res both are 4 years plus ( male is 4 female is 5) ive been wondering if i could get another baby turle and be ok w/ the other 2....could i mix breeds....such as a painted...or cooter

the baby size would be 1-2 inches maybe more not bigger than the ones now which are both about 5-6 inches

so can i ?

There might be some problems with the new arrival, the ones you already have know each other but the new one would be considered a stranger trying to take up space, he might get hurt by the bigger ones. Confused

I would think about it very hard before making a decision like that. Very Happy

i would worry about the female. if u can handle the risk then go for it. they might be so nice to it too. tell us what happens Smile

Just remember that to your bigger turtles a hatchling leg is about the size of a guppy- or worse their head. I would be very cautious in doing this.
