Hi, i have 2 baby turtles and i was wondering. they have been together for some time now. the were together for i dont know how long at the pet store and then they were together for about another month after that, so i was wondering, would they get stressed out if i seperated them and took one to a new home?
thanks |

why would u want to? they say that turtles don't really care about having tankmates but when i see turtles living together they do seem to enjoy it as long as there is enough space and resources for everyone _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

I agree as long as they're friends let them be. If your wanting to get rid of one because you can't take care of it or feed it, by all means just make sure it goes to a good home. But, I like to think they enjoy each other and would therefore miss one another. _________________ 2 big RES, 1 Flowerhorn Cichlid, 1 Cockatiel. I see... You're moving and are possibly going to take 1 with you.
I would first see if I could talk the owner of the other one into letting you take them both.
If you aren't willing to leave yours and the other one can't go with you then I guess it's a judgement call on your part. When turtles get older they do sometimes get aggressive with each other and might end up needing seperation anyway. I would say wait until the time comes and then make that decision. _________________ 2 big RES, 1 Flowerhorn Cichlid, 1 Cockatiel. I will alway hold a place in my heart for Daphne, my albino RES. |

Any chance they can get separated now, so that when the time comes, they will be used to their own space. _________________
