how do u know your turtle has eggs in her?

If your turtle is ready to lay, she'll bask alot and get kind of restless looking for somewhere to nest. You can also -gently- feel around the base of her back legs, if her skin doesn't moosh (for lack of a better word) like normal, she could have eggs.

How old is your turtle, they generally don't lay until they are 4-5 years.

they are adults. they are 5-6 inches each. so like i know that its possible for them to. but yah.. the female does bask a lot and hardly eats. but it has never ate since i've gotten it. but i do remember the guy who sold them to me saying that they were all of the turtles were doing "THEIR THANG" for a couple of weeks now. so do you guys think that's it?

well if they're of that age and the pet store owner said that they were mating, than it's definitely a possibility. I've never bred mine before so I' not a whole lot of help and since you havn't really had her long enough to know if she's acting funny I would say be prepared just in case. ? . They nest in moist vermiculite (I think- double check me on that) then they will have to be incubated. The best info can be found on this site under care sheets. Stray also has a post up that is very informative on the subject. Keep in mind that having hatchlings is very time consuming and you need the space to keep them.
