| Hi. my name is rachel. i have a baby stink pot turtle. i've had him for about 3 months now and im becoming concerned. for the first 2 months he was eating fine and now he seems to not be interested in food. i've tried a large variety of live food and dry food from the pet store. nothing seems to be interesting him and i'm wondering if anyone knows anything else i can do for him. if you have any suggestions please let me know! thanks! |

well yes low temp is a reason for not eating. raise the temps and let us know what happens _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

Make sure that your turtle is not near a draft from the a/c, and you can buy a cheap thermometer at the dollar stores, usually for a dollar. Water heaters at walmart are pretty inexpensive, about 17 to 20 dollars for the cheapest one, when you put it in, make sure that you check every half hour to make sure that the heater is not heating the water too much, some are supposed to be set already and some people will trust those settings and end up cooking their fish/turtles. _________________
