I need help ! I have 2 turtles, they r about 1 year and a halfold. I thinkthat oneis female and the other a male. Since last night,the male keeps going afterthe female andtrying to bite her.
What should I do ? The aquarium got a little small for them. I'll get a biggerone soon. But I am going nuts, should I separe them???

Please, someone help me !!!

welcome to the board Smile

aggressiveness in such cases is common but what's uncommon is that it's usually from the female's side. yes it might be territorial problems. unfortunately, it ends by seperating them in most cases. sometime they still don't get along and will need to be seperated for good. he could hurt her so seperate them for a while and when u get their new home, put her in first so he sees that it's hers and not try to bully around anymore. for now, i don't suppose that u'll be able to provide the same level of conditions so give him the less better one to make him know he's punished for something he did.

Even tough they r togethertheir whole life, they can start fighting for territorial space?
