funk off my turtle when cleaning his cage? I'm not sure if turtles are suppose to have a certain amount of funk to them or not!

No turtles are not supposed to feel funky or slimy, if you have ever held a snake or a lizzard, that is kinda what they should feel like, use a soft brush like one made for mushrooms to clean their shell, and make sure you do it under running water so that the stuff doesn't end up back on the turtle. Very Happy
