hello everyone!
i'm also new to this turtle thing!!

i have one question for now:

alge- why, how come, what kind, from how and is it good or bad?

here's the details!

i put my 2 red ear sliders in a kiddie pool out on the balcony. it holds about 100 gallons. there's a rock mountain in the middle. i have 2 filters in there. one of them is a basic fish tank filter with the black spongy thing in it. that's all. the second one has biological cleaning stuff and something else in it.

i had the pool in the shade for about 2 weeks and now i have it in the sun. it sprouted alge, it's green patches of yucky stuff all over the place and the water is greenish and looks a little thick.

is this stuff good for them? and if it isn't any way to get rid of it?

i can't find specific info on the alge....

can you send me somewhere to read or help me out?
