I kept the baby Red-Bellied turtles which my 2 turtles attacked. Hes in another tank. His shell wheres theres his back legs(the hard piecas are gone and soft skin is left) and know the soft around his shell is tearing where they bith him. Will his shell became hard and well again when hes big?? Plus hes not sunbathing any more.

I'm afraid I don't know enough about turtle physiology to say, the vet would be able to tell you better, good luck though. _________________

Best bet in your situation is going to make sure it is eating well, and keep its water clean as possible. The chlorine in the water should be enough to keep an infection out. Good luck and keep us updated!

The chlorine doesn't bother the turtle as much as it does fish, but like you and me, too much chlorine will affect your eyes, and since they live in the water, it will probably cause eye irritations. Fish is another matter. _________________
