| Ok .. yea. Why's my turtle digging? It's like .. hes using his backlegs to kick away the gravel under a decoration in my tank. Any reason for this? Just curious. |

are u sure it's a he?? turtles also dig when they're trying to lay eggs..how old is it? any other turtles in there with him?? _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

| my turtle is female and about 9 months old i think and keeps digging in the corner of the tank she shares with a male is she nesting or just trying to freak me out |

^^^^^STRAYKINGFISHER is right...as usual....and even though they are aquatic they lay their eggs on land in dirt. So they wouldn't be trying to lay eggs underwater even if she was of sexual maturity.
