Hello i am back from the beach! I came in my room saw my turtle on a rock that my dad put in there that floats he made it float with a clothes hanger (dont ask how it amazing tho) the floating island has arrive while i was gone but they didn't put it in cuz they didn't know where i wanted it. Now i have to vacum the gravel cuz mom overfed the fish and there flake all over the bottom, Surprised

then afterware i install his floating island and put holes in the glass or somthing for the UV light to be directly on top of the island so he can get his much needed viatmin! mom said the cat was hitting the clothes hanger torturing my turtle Sad

silly kitten wouldn't leave him alone but she never does it when i am here.

Your dad sounds like someone I could really like, I too am very inventive when it comes to upgrading a basking ramp, I have one of those adjustable floating docks but since they were getting too big for it, I had to make some adjustments to it, I took it off of the rods that held it to the side of the tank and I took a square piece of plastic and made some holes in it that would accomodate some of those suction cup hooks that they sell for the shower, then I attached the ramp to the plastic square and suctioned the whole thing to the side of the tank, sounds complicated but it is really very simple. Very Happy

wow.. your dad and straykingfisher sound really inventive! i wish i could come up wtih something like that.

after my turtledock died.. my sis bought my little turds an acrylic turtle dock.. but that's only resulted in assassination attemps..

whenever the little baby res is on there, one of the cooter babies will attack the suction cups, and the other will attack the part that is in the water.

i guess they can never be satisfied.. lol
