I'm new to this chat/forum thing. I need advice on a Marineland Emperor 400. I can't get it to prime! The girl from PetSmart told me "it's normal" for the pump to make this loud mechanical noise , but it doesn't sound right. The intake tube is submersed at least 5 inches into the water. I have a 75 gallon tank filled 1/2 way. The water is cloudy & my Fluval 4 Plus wasn't doing the job so I forked out the money for this new filtration system that I can't get to work! I'm VERY frustrated & didn't think it would be this difficult to start it. ANY help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hercules would appreciate it too!!! |

Well, let me tell you what I found out. Marineland told me this particular pump wouldn't work for what I need it for because I'm not filling my tank up (75-gal, Hercules would drown!!!) so he suggested a submersible pump, which I have. It's not cutting it. So many people have given me such good advice & Hercules says he appreciates it. Me too. Even though his water is still cloudy, he's still a happy turtle. |
