| Turtles can eat lots of different veggies. They like romaine lettuce (not iceberg due to a lack of food value), carrots are very popular with mine I always make thin peels for them so they don't choke, kale, beet tops, apples, grapes and bannanas are good choices too. Don't give them any house plants as they might be toxic, don't give them broccoli either. |

Soaking the pellets in tuna juice works pretty good, also if the turtles are new to you, they are probably still scared because of the change in environment, give them some time, when you go see them, sneak in so they don't get alarmed, eventually they will get used to you and will start to act normally. _________________

if u have new hatchlings then give them some time so they get used to u..new turtles especially babies feel scared and insecure so then don't usually act normal and all they do is hide..try the tuna trick it works since it's very smelly..i doubt they'll eat veggies now cz hatchlings don't like them a lot..for the leaves, stay away from iceberg lettuce, spinach, and broccoli as deesygirl said..
good luck _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
