AHHHHH! I live in the poconos in PA, I found a turtle crossing the road the other day, I took him by our local pet store,; and the guy just said hes a \"wild turtle\" I cant find anything on the web about them, and I hope someone can help me, so far I have him in a tank half filled with waater, and half with gravel and rocks, hes got webed feet, and seems to like the water, but i dont think hes a snapping turtle, Ive fed him lettuce, carrots, and i got him food pellets, but i never see him eating, I just hope Im doing the right thing with him, and not killing him! Ive already grown attached to him,and would hate to let him go out to the wild, any suggestions?? and how do you tell boy from girl????

I have run into the same situation. I have started feed the turtle goldfish. Give it a
try.

my turtle isnt eating anything either but today were going to see if he\'ll eat gold fish

Well,

I ask the guy in the pet shop how many
goldfish the turtle would eat in a week and
he told me around 10 feeder fish. Well the
turtle woundup eat around 20 fish in 1 hour.
It was really quite the sight to watch.

I am trying to figure out if the turtle was
just really hungry or what because my plan
was/is to keep the fish in the tank with the
turtle and let it eat them as he feel the need.

I will keep you posted.

I live in PA so I know if its green and has a little red line on the side of its head its a pound slider.
