I have a female painted turtle who is 8 mounts old, and I have a male map turtle that is 4 mounts old, and he puts his claws in front of her face when they swim and eat.
They dance in the water too, what dose this mean?

It can mean nothing but yes they can mate and that would be cool a painted and a map would look like a good combo.

I have heard of two similar species of turtles mating with each other like a RES and painted turtle.

I would imagine that they do mate with other kinds of turtles or else we would only have one kind of turtle in the world. Smile
