Can a russian tortoise and a greek tortoise mate?

i have just purchased a female greek tortoise and i was wanting to mate it with a russian tortoise who is a male. they are both about 4 inches long in comparison but they often sleep together and they seem quite fond of one another.... my question is will they mate and when could i expect them to mate?

okay i\'m not an expert with tortises but if they can mate then you\'ll see them.
