My turtles are about 1 1/2 years old. One is bigger than the other because one stopped eating for a few motnhs. Anyway, they both flutter their arms at each other. What does this meanand when can I tell if they are male or female?

okay the fluttering of the hands can be a sign of dominece or a sign of mating if it was a sign of mating their toom young if it\'s a sign of dominece they could get aggresive if this happens you should separate them

For RES, you should be able to tell their sex when their shells are about 4 inches in length.
