I have had two turtles for 12 years. One I bought almost fully grown(shelly) and the other I rasied since she was a few months old(leo). The older turtle likes to wiggle his hands in front of the other one and the other turtle runs away. Then the the older turtle tries to bite the other turtle? Is bitting normal for turtles. The past year I have kept them apart because i am afraid one might bite the other to the point it might die... What it going on and how can i get them back together?

wow 12 yrs is long! the fluttering of the hands is a mating ritual and the biting is probly telling the other one to \"back off\"
