HI, Im 24, just turned 24 in January, starting to feel old, my turltes are babies, and i just got them, i got married on valentines day, and these will be our two children for a while. im not ready for the real deal yet. there so cute and funny, i love when i feed them by hand, and they rip the food away and shake there head like a dog with a toy, it makes me laugh everytime, they always bring a smile to my face, we named them Hyde-because he likes to hide in shadows, and Toughy--Toughy was my husbands idea. anyway, im glad i have this site to chat to others with turtles.

15 here! I got my turtle HaRlEy about 3 months ago and I love him more than anything! Im pretty sure he\'s a FM (false map) because he has the horizontal yellow bars behind his eyes, kinda like two \'L\'s. Anyway, nice talking to y\'all

Well, thank goodness. I thought I was the oldest one on the sight. I just turned 52 in July. Thumbs up to the other \"old\" animal lovers in the world.

Well....I got my first turtles back when you could buy them in any variety store - so that gives you an idea. My kids are 18,23,and 24, and they joke that I got the 3 hatchlings to cure empty nest syndrome when the youngest went to college this year.
This also explains why I do some things the non-recommended way. Worked in 2 pet stores before marriage and the kids, and fall back on older remedies when needed.
