| I found a turtle marching down the street this afternoon and I\'d like to identify (him/her) so I can better determine the best course of action for it. I have no idead if its a pet or wild (I have seen no other street turtles in the 6 mos I have lived here) Anyway, its shell is rectangular when viewed from above with rounded corners. It does not flare near the bottom and is a mottled brown color. The base plate is lighter and has a kind of square pattern with about 10 individual segments. It has dark mottled skin with no outstanding features. It\'s fron feet are quite a bit larger than the rear with about 5 claws and look vaguely flipperish. I really no nothing about turtles at this point so I\'m not sure about the best way to explain their features. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I would just leave ti where it is.Unless it is injured, you shouldn\'t touch it. If there isnt any water source around, then try and lead it to one. That would help the turtle alot. Good luck! _________________ Proud Owner of 6 RES's! |
