ok, we found this turtle in our neighbor\'s back yard and they\'ve found it in their yard 4 about a year. they gave it to us but we have NO IDEA wat kind of turle it is. its back legs r webbed and it can go in water and out. its chin is some what yellow but all the pictures we\'ve looked at dont look like him. also, every pet store has different turtle food for different turtles. HELP

if this\'ll help i live in cali and all of the types of turtles i\'ve seen pictures of r either eastern or really dont look like him

Sounds like it might be a painted. I am not really sure.

If it is a water turtle you can feed your turtle Reptomin or any other brand of floating turtle pellet. You can also give it fruits and veggies. There is alot of information on food under the setup/supplies button at the top of this page.
