My friend got my turtle in Portugal.
She took it home with her but forgot all the info on it. (I don\'t think she picked it out on the beach or something, I think it was given to her by a local.) She kept it for a few years but gave it to me when she couldn\'t take care of it anymore about a year ago.
So I\'m not sure what species it is or how old it is.
I think it\'s a she (I call her Emma), but I might be wrong  Could anyone help me?
I have some pics, but my cam is pretty messed up and Emma is a real queen in front of the camera.. stays still when she\'s supposed to move and so on

I was trying to get all her features, like her skin and the stripes on the top of the head, but like i said she won\'t stay still at the right moments so this is the best i could do |

Hi,
So far I can see it\'s a map turtle, dunno if it\'s a false map turtle or another species of map turtle, but I can certainly say is a sawback..

I\'ve gone though pics of the map turtles and so far Emma is most like the false map. The other maps don\'t look nearly as much like her as I see her (my cam is pretty crappy) and the sripes match better to those than any of the other maps i saw. However i did see a few differen\'t pictures of a common map turtle and they didn\'t match so i can\'t be sure. One or two pics looked allot like her while the othes didn\'t even come close. Maybe some picture mixup at the sites..
