For the past week, my turtle has been frantically propping herself on her front legs and moving her hind legs in a circular, digging motion. Occasionally she \'digs\' with her front legs also. I have noticed some clear fluid coming from her tail area at times ...

I am baffled because she has not been in contact with other turtles for at least 3 years. There would have been no opportunity for mating therefore.

Can eggs develop without fertilization? She appears to be fine and healthy otherwise.

Thanks for any help:)
