I just purchsed 2 new turtles, a red eared slider and a cooter. I don\'t know if either is a boy or girl or their exact ages. The cooter has grown a great amount and is about 1/3 bigger that the res, also the bottm of the shell seems a little soft if you squeaze a little. Could the cooter be pregnant or just eats a lot? And the cooter also acts hungry all the time and will eat whenever offered. Just wondering if this is normal, or is the cooter pregnant or does it now matter?

before there ready to lay if you feel on either side of the tail and there are hard lumps than they are pregnant and they better have some sandy kind of place to make a nest or whole

hmmm she mite be pregnant make a box wit sand or dirt just in case if nothin happens it was a false alarm.Better to be safe than sorry!gl=)
