My three inch RES got white spots on its shell. What is it and how do i go about getting rid of it. tryin to help this little guy. any help would be good.

sounds like mold or fungus....are you providing daily exposure of sunlight to your turtle? Basking in sunlight (or under UVB light, which mimics real sunlight) will help your turtle\'s health and shell get better.

It is very important that your turtle has an area that he/she can go to to get out of the water and bask under the lamp. It lets them dry for a while and helps the shell get rid of fungus and mold.

Is your turtle\'s shell getting better now?
