I bought my turtle at a pet store, and she is maybe about 5" long. I would really like a good estimation of how old she might be, without taking her to the vet.
Any tips on this? |

it is hard to tell how old a turtle is based on thier size. they can grow at different rates depending on cirumstances (NOT cage size). for example, i have two turts. when i got them they were the same size and age, one got sick and stopped growing while the other one was fine and grew to be twice the size of my sick one. they are about the same size now, with the sick one now healthy and a bit bigger than my other one. basically my point is that, unless you know the exact date that it hatched, there is no way to tell _________________ I love my turtles! |
