Question Mater has been experiencing bubbles in his tank. We talked with the girls at Pets Mart and they told us it sounded like high ammonia levels. We test the water and it tested stressed. We cleaned his tank, and changed the cartridges in both his filters. It has been a week and we are beginning to see bubbles again. We tested the water and it is safe. Does anyone know what could be going on?
Before the first bubbles began appearing we had never had this problem before and have had Mater in this tank since last June.

I think that someone said sometime ago that those bubbles (foam) usually happens because there is too much protein in the water mixed with oils from the turtle and the food, I don't know if anything will help, I usually just ignore it, it doesn't harm anything, unless it goes out of control, think about the foam head on a beer. Very Happy
