I took some more pics and a new vid Mr.turtle likes to lay out in the sun on his little box lid and then try and escape (but no worries he's always under my watch) he's able to get outta the big shoes boxes as i found last night and nearly cried Crying or Very sad myself to death trying to find him (he was under my sofa Neutral )

The last one is my tank set up (still looking for a light and table, but otherwise i'm good)
I've been told it was a red ear slider when I first got him, but no red ears...so then he or it was a Yellow belly coot. Now it seems he might be a Meso American slider, but idk he has alot of pretty marks. Thanks for the help....P.s. Any name suggestions? or gender suggestions lol

well firstly, they are different species and have different habits and traits. The cooter notmally has little yellow etches and marks around the outside of his shell, and they can get kinda big. They YBS likes in places like the chesapeake bay and gets to about 11 inches from what i remember, but i am not sure what either plastron looks like, with that one, the underside of him(plastron) would be the best way to tell

but cooters have red markings on the shell most of the time, which yours doesnt have, i would go with strayking fisher and say its a yellow belly slider, but im not sure

According to the information that I have been able to find on the internet, there is no such thing as a Yellow Bellied Cooter

This is the link for sliders:
http://www.chelonia.org/trachemysgallery.htm

This is the link for cooters:
http://www.chelonia.org/pseudemysgallery.htm

I hope that helps. Very Happy

Could be a mixed Turtle, part Cumberland and part RES. Here is a site to view photos of mixed RES and a Yellow Belly and others.
