Hey, i got a turtle dock recently as i had a large piece of wood(log) but it was not big enough as my turts are growing fast!! but since i put it in they wont go on it and in result they arent basking at all!! i know this is really dangerous for them not to bask as they can get soft shell!!! i dnt want to put in the log because it takes up a lot of room and its not big enough, any suggestions to get them on it or anything?? thanks in advance!!! because you changed the environment, it might take some time for your turtles to get used to it. just give them some time to get used to the new dock and they will eventually say "hey, its warm up there!" and climb right on up. just give them a week or so, dont panic, that amount of time will not affect their shells. keep doing everything else normally for a while, untill they get used to their new platform.

Same here, when I bought my turtles a basking dock, they wouldn't bask on it for about a week or so, they just hung from the sides as if to make sure it wasn't going to bite them. Very Happy

thanks for the help! i have it in the tank since the 25th of december! its funny though they are so cheeky! when i put food on it they don't waste time to go up on it! haha
