my turtles eyes not opening wat should i do?

Sad My turtles eyes arent opening for about 2 days now and its the first time its been like that too. Any Suggestions on what i should do?Smile

does he move? does he eat? try putting him on under your basking lamp, see if he will wake up, if he has just been sitting there for two days, he either is in some wierd hibernation mode or you shoudl take him to a vet. warm up his water, it should help him if he is sick. if he is hibernating, i dont think you should wake him up, i really know nothing about hibernation. other than that

yes my turtles move and trys to find the food in the water to eat.. i tried to put him under the lamp but it still doesnt wake up

well, he is not hibernating, how old is it, i doubt it matters, but i was just curious. also just some questions about the tank, is there anything else in it, how large is it and is there a heater/filter?

it something else in the tank hurt its eyes in someway you probably should see a vet for that, as long as its still moves i am not sure what it could be.

i not sure how old it is by i had he about 2 years. I usually put my other turtles with the turtle that has his eyes close.

im not sure how big the tank is and there is a heater/filter there

thanks the webpage helped me

im scared to bring my turtle to the vet cause i read somewhere that if u have a turtle that is less than 4 inches its illegal. and mine turtles only about 2 inches.

no, its not illegal to have them, just to sell them. I dont think the vet would take your turtle away for having one under 4 inches. technically he can't. your turtle needs medicine to help his eyes i d imagine, its probably best to take him.
