as simple as that: the fatter they get, the less room they will have to fit in the shell. their bones will cramp and deform as they grow which could lead to death eventually _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

| my turtles shell is curling as well, its looks like he could also be getting a very slight case of pyramiding. Should i just feed him less? My map turtles might have pyramiding too for all i know, but i cant tell because he has spikes on his back. But the painted that has the curling on the back of the shell i will try to get a pic of. but does anyone know what i could do to help it until i get a pic? ive read give calcium, UVB and UVA, and extra vitamin D3, but i do all of this. I did start the UVB light right after christmas, so maybe that will help. |
