Would my red ear slider live ok in a 40 gallon tank with an african sideneck? they are both equal in size, not sure about the sex of the african. I know my boy res has never been agressive...just the little territory claw shaking thing. I actually had to take my female res out because she was beating him up. I work at petsmart and I know there are res's in with the african...I just wanna make sure there is enough room from them to be happy together.

well it depends. if they are the size sold at petsmart, which is atleast 4 inches, you want 10 gallons per inch of turtle, so two 4 inch turtles will need 75 gallon tank. but they will grow, so i recommend geting a 90 gallon, because it might work until they are each 5-6 inches.
