|
|
Is it safe to use a chemical algae remover in my yellow belly sliders tank?
There is green algae growing on the rocks.
I have Tank Buddies dissolving "No More Algae" tablets that I use in my fish tank.
I was just wondering if it is okay to use it in my turtle's tank.

you may just need to clean your tank more...im not sure if using an algae remover would be healthy for your turtles. try completely cleaning the tank with a weak bleach solution and make sure you rinse off everything very well before putting your turtle back in _________________ http://punkflash54.blujay.com |

I have used the tabs before.
It helped with the algea and the turtles are still alive. I think you should also clean your tank. It probably would help if you did not have gravel and you took a cloth and whiped the inside glass of your tank during feedings or when ever you feel comfy. |

Also, you can get some snails. I have a fleet of 20 snails for my 75 gallon tank, which helps a TON, and the turtle can't hurt them either. |
