I saw this turtle of flat head (not pics yet) in the campus of the national university of Paraguay (in an artificial lake) andI want to know that kind of turtle is she. She is black, and her head is like a snake head.Im curious, I want to know What kind of turtle is she. plz help

i read about mata mata before, i didnt realize they were that big...

it is probably a soft shell of some kind, but maybe not. i just cant imagine a flat head withou a flat shell like soft shells.

Tomorrow I´ll put some pics, Its dificult to get them becose they are almost all the time under the water.I found that there are almost 5 of them.

If i see pic i can tell you for sure what it is because i have mistaken turtles for other turtles that look almost exactly alike but small details u do not notice can be different so when i see a picture i will tell you either what kind or how much it is worth sometimes i remember them only by the amount of money because sometimes i only see the amount its worth and no name is listed =[ its sad when you do not know what turtle u r buying saving or taking care of
