| Does anyone know if it is safe to use the algae control products out there with turtles? Specifically "tetra algae control". I have cleaned the tank really well a few times but it just keeps coming back, I am now going to try keeping the lights off for a few days. I know the algae doesnt really hurt the turtle, but we have people coming over for the holidays and I want the tank to look nice. If anyone has any ideas I would really be grateful! Thanks. |

| Do you keep the tank near the window and direct sunlight? That's one cause of algae, my buddy had a big problem with it... I personally have not had a problem with it, so that is my only suggestion. |
