All Turtles Message Board

hi,
i went away to my grandmothers for a few days and left my brother at home to look after the house. I told him to leave my turtles because i had my friend coming round to feed them because he know what he is doing. Ne way i get back and find out off my next door neighbor that my turtle has died but the other one in the same tank is fine. She said that it was just lying at the bottom of the tank lifeless and didn't respond to tapping on the glass or b3eing touched. they then got it out and discovered that it was dead. My father said that when he picked the dead turtle up, it seemed to make a sloshing sound like that of water.

Does anybody have any ideas how this could have happened? I know that nothing was added to the water because if it had, it would have killed the other turtle in it.

Ps My turtle was in perfect health before i left!

there are several possibilities either your turtle choked on its food and drowned ( something similar happened to me) , the other turtle if in same tank accidentaly drowned it ( happened to me) , or it just plain drowned or went into shock
