| A quick look at "posts from last visit" reveals the garbage they've been posting. I'm going to assume it's one dumbass using two accounts to make up idiotic stuff. This board doesn't need their kind of fecies. |

You know, I would have expected this from those people over on the fish forums, but I'm shocked and appalled you would treat your own like this.
I can't believe you called for a ban on someone so recently admitted to the ranks of turtle lovers.
Frankly, I thought the members of this forum would rise above turtle snobbery, but apparently I was wrong.
And what, exactly do you want me banned for? I've come to you merely with curiosity and wonder at our amphibious friends, and I want to share my wonderful experiences with you!
I also want a better recipe for turtle soup, but perhaps I'll save that for another time.
I do hope that you will welcome us into your community and cease this ridiculous call for administrative punishment...
Turrtle

Hey, you watch your turtles swim around and bask, I train mine to one day participate in experiments involving low-earth orbit....
I don't tell you how to enjoy YOUR turtles, I dont expect anyone to tell me how to enjoy mine.
And like I mentioned, the landing/recovery system is coming along quite well, I expect the casualty rate to be lowered to 10-20% very soon. |

Excuse me? I can assure you, sir, that I have only a single account.
It's true, that I invited some like-minded friends to join me in my new-found hobby, and they happily accepted.
I would think that you would be happy more people have found the joy a small, shell-wearing critter can bring you!
In any case, you can make all the accusations you want, but at the end of the day this is my account, and my ONLY account.
Any more groundless accusations you would care to sling my way? |

Who's joking? I'll admit that I'm not always the best turtle steward, but I try my best, and love my shelled friends very much. If I'm doing something wrong, I'd love the help, but as it is, I think things are working out.
Also, how can you judge my turtle tips if you've never tried them? The turtle community doesn't need any more elitist jerks telling people what they can and can't do to their turtles. Have you ever considered that some people may appreciate MY advice? |

We're not the same person at all. To be honest, I'm a little upset that you're lumping me in with him. I read through some of his posts, and it seems that he has a distinctly inhumane attitude towards his turtles. I fully support a ban.
I, however, love my turtles very, very much. I care for them, I love them, I cuddle with them. I'd love to share my love with other people, and I'm sure there are others out there like me. |

Oh, ok.... so because I play a little rough with my turtles I should be banned? Thats ridiculous. And speaking of ridiculous, i read and even responded to some of YOUR posts and your deviant sexual behavior is far more worthy of a ban than anything I have posted...
But I dont want anyone banned, I want us all to just get along and appreciate the diverse interest in turtles we all have and the one thing that brings us close together...

You can call me names and insult my lifestyle all day long, that doesn't change you being a murderer of our fine scaled friends! I should report you to PETA! I've studied Florida in school, and I'm sure your actions are against the law there!
How can you do such awful things to such beautiful, loving, attractive creatures?!
My Princess is my favorite. Can you really contemplate murder looking at that face? |

Your turtles probably live sedate, peaceful, BORING lives devoid of purpose or excitement, except of course when you MOLEST them.
Mine serve a higher purpose, not only the entertainment of their lord and master (me) but, occasionally, science!!
Do YOU know what terminal velocity is for a RES? Or the exact coefficient of friction of a turtle in flight? Or how delicious a turtlesoup made from RES' is? Well, I do, and one day I plan on using that information to serve the communty at large.
Whereas YOU are nothing more than a turtle molestor. |

| I agree with Yurtle, turtles are a thing to be loved and cherished, not launched from an air gun. Yurtle, pm me if you want to have a get-together with your turtles and mine. |

You know what, fine.... think whatever you want.
One day I'll be famous and you and your friend will have syphillus and salmonella from turtle fondling.
I expect you to post an apology when the first mission to Mars to explore human colonization contains one of MY highly trained turtles as part of the crew. |

| And who is going to keep those turtles happy and loved on their space flight? Not a murderer, that's for sure. On our greatest endeavor to the stars, you'd deny our brave crews their most basic need, the need to love amphibians? |

Dont be ridiculous.... im saying the turtles would BE the crews, so they would have each other.... not some sicko who likes turtle sex.
They are perfect for the job, they survive in temperatures comparable to huiman tolerances, they live for a long time so they could survive the trip (it will take a long time with our current chemcial propuslion technology).
What am I saying, I dont expect you to understand any of this, you sick turtle-rapist. |

They'd be so lonely without a loving hand to caress their cool shells!
Anyway, I'm not a rapist, nor do I have sex with my turtles, that's disgusting. I am physical, but physical in the way you'd be with any loved pet. Can anyone on this site honestly say they've never took their turtle lovingly in their mouth? Or rubbed its shell down with fine massage oils? Heck, even the biggest prude on this site has to have covered themselves in turtle food and let the turtle lick it off. |

The only thing i put on my turtle's shells is graphite powder, to increase lubrication on flights.
I initially had a rifled barrel, for spin stabilization, but that made them sick, so now they are accelerated straight through the barrel, and it produces wuite a bit more friction.
Anyway, I don't personally agree with what you do with your turtles, but that was my whole point at the beginning of this thread, it shouldnt matter what we do with the, all that matters is that they are special to us all in different ways.
And the more elitist members of your forum started calling for a ban almost immediately... for shame. |

Respected sirs,
There must surely be a way to effect an end to these bitter hostilities. We have come here to celebrate our love of turtles, as is right and just.
The respected gentleman, turtlepower, has endeavoured to include our favourite aquatic dwelling creatures in the great forward march of science! Surely this alone is worthy of respect! At long last, our shelled brethren will receive academic recognition for the important role they have long played in our society. I applaud his dream of enabling a crew of turtles to another planet, blazing a brave path before their more timid and frail human compatriots.
Our friend, Yurtle, has indeed come to loudly prloclaim his love of turtles, as well. He takes a more gentle and tender approach, attempting to educate the world on the lesser known carnal delights offered by our quiet but seductive friends. Surely, this too is just as worthy of acclaim as involving them in the physical sciences? He has attempted to disseminate a rather unorthodox, I admit, view of intimate companionship, but it is one that is poorly recognized. He, too, has chosen to mark a path for others to follow along, and allow better relations among human and turtlekind! I submit that any effort that leads to the better comfort and happiness of our shelled companions is a respectable vocation. |

Fine, I'll agree to stop saying he's a turtle rapist if he agrees that I shouldn't be banned and that my idea for turtles going to Mars has merit.
If not, he can go to heck. |

This is a family site and I intend to keep it that way. The posts will be removed or edited. Any more and I will request a banning of the appropriate IP addresses.
On the subject of IP's: Shellshocker can you explain why you have the same IP as Yurtle? I found that interesting as you supposedly live on opposite sides of the country. _________________
