i recently got a new turtle yesterday and hes in those rubbermade containers i put just alittle bit of water so he can splash around. his heat lamp is on him and the water is warm and i dont understand why hes not eating and he rather splash around . i read from another TOPIC on TURTLE BEHAVIOR and mybe its the clorine in the water? iunno can someone help me out!

He/she is stressed out, it will take him/her some time to get used to the new surroundings, their instinct tells them to escape, that is why they are always trying to get out of the container they are in, it will be a while before they realize that the container is their new home. Smile

wouldnt he get hungry? he hasnt touched his food one bit im just worried because his little hands and feet are so skinny, how long will it take for him to realize that, thats where hes going to be staying?

you are putting the food in the water correct, you look to have aquatic turtles so put about 4 inches in for a baby turtle, then put the food in the water, you probably knew that, i just didnt know

How long it takes the turtle to get used to its surroundings really depends on the turtle, but if it gets hungry enough, he will eat, sooner or later. Very Happy

yes, i've been see some inprovement with him and less wanting to go out of the water. but he hasnt really touched his reptomins (foodsticks) i put a peace of lettus and he it seems that he enjoys that more the the reptomins some i broke in half so its easier for him to eat... so when do you think hes going to eat those sticks?
