We just moved, but Tucker's seemed fine. He basked for HOURS yesterday. Then about 7 o'clock he just started swimming back and forth rapidly, at the surface of the water.

And wouldn't stop.

You hear the splashing as he swims so hard. He seemed to calm down when we turned off all the lights in the house for bed.

This morning, I woke up to the splashing of Tucker swimming rapidly around the tank, splashing. Then he climbs on his platform and gets agitated. It actually looks like he's trying to climb OUT of the tank. Like he's scared of something. But... what in the world could he be scared of? Has anybody experienced anything strange like this? It's kinda worrying me.

When your turtle acts this way it is telling you something is not right. There are many things to check for. Water temp being the first. Then check your amonia levels, if they are ok then check for chlorine in the water. Many turtles are very sensitive to clorine.
Many turtles do not care for change. As you just moved he may be frightened of the new atmosphere. Is your tank set up the same as it was before?
