| I have three running in my 40 gallon tank. A Penguin 150 and 350 and also some sort of Zoo Med filter that sits outside of the tank (kinda like a small version of a Fluval). Sounds like too much, but it actually seems just right, the water isn't too churned up because the Penguins just water fall in. |

75gal tank, with 35% water, two whisper filters, 10 and a 20. I need to upgrade, just haven't had the money for the Fluval. _________________ 3 RES: Sampson AKA Sammie, Van Gogh, and Sonic

I use a Fluval 405 canister filter along with a Fluval 4 Plus for my 60 gallon tank for my 2 RES and they work perfectly.
The fluval 4 plus is not really necessary since the 405 was highly recommended to do the job well but being that i have the fluval 4 because its what i used before i upgraded i figured it doesnt hurt to have extra filtration since turtles are well known for being messy.
I dred having to clean my tank since its alot of work so i rather spend top dollars on a great filter set up to avoid having to clean every month.
Only downfall to this is that Fluval filters are pretty expensive. But well worth the cost if you have the money to get one. _________________ **Plasmik**

I have a fluval 405 on my 120G with 3 turtles in, it's been great but now that my big one is nearing 10" it's starting to struggle so I'm going to be upgrading to a fluval FX5 when I can afford it!!! _________________ 1 Penninsular Cooter - Spook

I have a 240 gallon turtle tank filled 3/4 full of water and I run a fluval FX5. It is the ONLY canister big enough for tanks over 200 gallons, period. It works great but very $$$$$ |

I have an aquarium company and had an extra brand new AGA 240 gallon tank and cabinet, my wife wanted a turtle tank, so there you go.
I am used to doing large water changes, most of the tanks that I service for my customers are over 100 gallons and are salt water so this is no big deal.
You should see how impressive it looks, I had a custom made rock done for it ($$$$) for the basking area.
I will post pics when I can.

It is called AquaTech Solutions.
Check it out at www.aquats.com. I haven't had time to update the site for a little while, my wife and I have been too busy. It is a couple of months outdated on some things. You can e-mail me from the hot link on the site as well if you have any questions or need anything. I am more than happy to help where I can. _________________ 240 gallon Turtle Tank

I use a RENA Filstar XP3. It's geared for 175 gallons, I use it in a 75 gallon tank.
It is overall a good quiet filter, but you need to have it set up just right in regards to height and depth, and media isn't dirt cheap. I clean it once a month and for a few days it seems to struggle with the water, but then it's beautiful. *shrugs* |

I just bought a Fluval 404 and was wondering what type of media to put in it. I'm going to be using it with a 55 gallon aquarium. I also have a Fluval 2 that I havent used yet. I might or might not put that into the tank too. _________________ Kiwi and Luckey, the angels
