Does anyone know of any safe aquarium toys that I can put into the tank to keep the little guy amused? Like a floating ball or something that he can chase around a bit without eating or leaking toxins into the water?

Thanks~

some local fish stores, and amazon, sells a remote controlled battery operated submarine with a light. that would be cool toy i think, not sure for you or the turtle.. the turtle might actually be scared poopless by it.. but who knows. just food for thought.

I have heard of people putting ping pong balls in the tank for the turtles to chase. I use live fish. They get their excersise and a treat when they succeed.

I stick with fish for the most part, but I have heard of people using ping pong balls, etc.... Be creative! Try an aquarium bubbler, or something similar sold for a fish aquarium, chances are if its safe for fish, its safe for your turtle, just so long as you make sure its nothing your turtle could eat! ok plastic things arent so great cus if they bite it they will either gett a turtle toothache or tummyache depending but ping pong balls are ok but often the turtles prefer live fish like fishing minnows and fancyguppys and such if you cant find those please ask me what type of fish to get cus certain ones give em tummyaches

there are neons which turtles prefer to chase at night and the red minnows are a VERY good choice ^_^ also you should get fancy guppies and regular guppies they breed fast so you wont ever run out and all of those go well together

yes they have fanned tails the brighter ones are male and the more plain ones are female and they breed FAST and they provide a challenge but tire before the turtle does
