Ok today I picked up my Russian tortise. Her name is Butterscotch. A tortise is new to me as I have a Map Turtle. So I need some help from Russian owners, Food?? I read on the care sheets but I would feel better with a list from a person that goes thru this everyday. Also the person I got her from told me to get Cyprus substrat,is this right?? Do I put a small dish of water in with her to let her soak?? Everything I'm reading says to hybernate her. To tell you the truth I don't feel real comfortable with this so I need to know if this is the right thing to do. I've alays been told with my map (Murtle) its not a good ideal. Murtle is alive and doing great because of you good people that know more then I, so please help me to keep Butterscotch alive and kicking too.
