PLEASE HELP! my turtle has skin in betweenits shell making it not able to close ..... she really likes the water she almost in it 24/7 but she gets out to eat and probably to sleep too, my dad said that could be the reason because she always in there "soaking".....infact i think she's in the water right now.... let me go check.....wow... no she's not she sleepin in her big pile of grass.... i ave never seen a turtle sleep like that though i mean with her head out of her shell .... and the grass to but her eyes were closed... is that natural because my old turtle slept in her shell.... oh yeah she also is a box turtle...... i live in south eastern inidana and thats where they live so i have her cage out back.....i dont know what kind of box turtle they just told me she was a box turtle.....oh yeah, her eyes are really big.. i dont know if they're swollen or if they're natural because they were like that when i got her..... but she's really nice she follows me around whe she's out of her cage... she acts like a dog king of.... lol.. but i love her to death... do you have an suggestions? i really want to make sure she's okay.... thanks

It might have to much fat, i read in a book if the turtle is unhealthy and has too much body fat sometimes its legs and stuff with not fit in the shell...
might wanna go google or something....
i trust the librairy more, books are more trustworthy than some internet sources _________________

okay thanks!! ive tried the internet, the only library there is around here is the schools which isnt very good (THERE'S SQUAT!) lol any ways................. if it doesnt get better, it'll result to a vet, who also knows sqat about turtles..... i already called her.... can you say "shouldn't of passed vet school!" never mind thanks anyway _________________ what all turtles think-

liposuction then or some good old exercise but it's hard to make a turtle exercise if it don't want to. |

| Can you post a pic? It sounds like your turtle is overweight which is remedied by feeding every other day. |
