well think of it, out in the wild. if turtles would die when the sun sets, they'd be extinct, see what im sayin? you should turn it off at night and turn it on in the morning like sunrise, sunset _________________ what all turtles think-

its ok, i know how you feel because i was a bit clueless when i first got my first turtle, don't worry about the water being low because, like the other guy said, they are very good swimmers. If you want reasurence then i can tell you that i have 2 turtles that i have had since they were hatchlings and when i first got them i put them straight into a 30 gallon tank that was half filled and now, 1 and a half years later, they are FINE! oh and ps : the lighting should simulate the natural sunlight hours of the specific time of year. _________________ )@$0/\/ |

| Your light should remain 12 on 12 off unless you know the specifics of when it stays lighter longer or whatever. I have mine ona timer so it is one less stress on me. |

lol i have mine on a timer too, its just easier that way. I just change my light times at the end of each season. _________________ )@$0/\/ |
