small fish, like guppies are great, you put them in, and itll keep the turtle occupied and is a sorce of food.... actually my baby RES ate his first guppy today, but i helped him, he seems so happy now that he accomplished getting one

be warry of gold fish. sometimes they are treated with weird chemicals that might cause turtles some discomfort or trouble. but i've used goldfish before with no problems. though i only use feeder guppies now.

yes i agree with stormrider, small fish are good in a turtle tank but goldfish are very dirty. Also i wouldnt expect your fish to live very long if your turts are hungry.

how old was your turtle when he ate it? mine dont seem interested, i only have two right now though. the minnows had a war and killed the other 3 before the turtles came. it was pretty cool seeing them fight though. but if i could get them to a fish, itd be worth the 12 cents. i figure ill get more though, so that theyll breed.
