| I notice after a while the water turns greenish. I was told this is algy (sp). What can I do about it? I have the Fluval 4 in a 20 gal. tank and have a calcium turtle in the water. I only have two basking platforms and no live plants. I have two six inch turtles, both boys. Any advice will be appreciated. |

my friend put little fish that ate algea in and it worked for her, and it also workesd as a sorce of food for her turtle

| Yes, you have helped and thanks. I am beginning to think that it may be the stones I have in the tank. These stones were given to me with the tank when I adopted the turtles. I think the guy got them in Petland, but not sure. I was reading through other messages and noticed someone said they were scrubbing their stones. I'll have to do that if I use them again. I have a great basking platform in my other tank, but Petland doesn't have them anymore. Must keep searching. |

wait u got to 6 in turtles in a 20 gall your WAYYYYY behind you need atleast 100 gallons because of the 10 gall per in rule but really you should have a 120 gall
