Well... some turtles get along, some don't, or so it seems. If they start fighting, you're risking your turtles by leaving them together.
I've contemplated getting a new turtle, a rescue, but I have no way to know if a new turtle will get along with Tucker until I try it. If it turns out they don't get along, I then need to invest in another full set-up, which I can't afford to do. Etc etc. |

a 10gallon on top of a 20gallon might be a bit extreme. why don't you try a 2.5 or a 5.5gallon on top of the 20 instead.
they should be short enough to lay ontop of the 20gallon frame. from there you can just lead a ramp into the basking tank. it isn't all that hard, i'm sure you can ghetto rig something up to make it stay there.
something like this, but with a tank instead of a mesh box
sorry it aint my pic, i just grabbed it from the picture section. hope that's ok |

Yeah 10 gallon is too big...I tried lol. but a small 5 1/2 gallon one only cost like ten bucks and if you get some gutter wire stuff or something works really well..a dock and a tank cover is needed too. my turtle loves it. But you will need to cover the fence...they can climb them...I found out the hard way.

as for mixing turtles I've never had any problems with aggression in keeping them together and the oldest 2 have been together 4 years now I think. I would just use a plastic tub as an area on top _________________ 1 Penninsular Cooter - Spook
